Keeping Up With the Times-For Elder Preece

So the Killer's new Christmas song came out, turns out BYU students animated the whole thing.  (CalDon loves the killers!)  The link to the video is below

Other than that nothing new to report for my brother.  Jordan and I watched World War Z, it scared me to death but I think CalDon would like it.  Also, Hunger Games II came out! Thats about it!

When I finally Hit it BIG

When I finally hit it big, I want to buy a duck pond.  No kidding...I've done some thinking about this, I'm just worried about how I will keep all the ducks there?  Any suggestions, in the mean time I'm going to dream about walking out into my wonderful peony filled garden and seeing these guys.  Yeah I want to have a house that awesome....A girl can dream.

Hate to admit it....

So I hate to admit it, but I've really enjoyed Nashville.  If you havn't watched it, I recommend it.  But then again, my mom thinks they're all soap operas ha.  If you don't have time to watch it (which I really don't) I recommend on listening to the sound track. Here are a few of my favorite singles from the show

Ho Hey
Telescope
Looking for A Place To Shine
Love Like Mine

Done with Finals

At last, I am finally done with finals.  Also, it should be my last real day as a college student at UVU.  Pretty crazy.  I left campus feeling about like this.  I decided to transfer to BYU with Jordan.  We are so excited/nervous/clueless about this new adventure.

Sister Vanderhoef

For anyone who knows Jessica I thought I'd post her mission blog.  I'm so excited for her and all the people she will teach on her mission.  I love this girl!

Oh...PS I have a great story to share but have been waiting for the right moment to share it.  I've been trying to tell people in person first and then I'll let it hit the cyber world in a few weeks.  Cause trust me it's just better in person...=] For a hint though it's got these things in common:

I'd Buy You! (For Megan one of the best roomies a girl could have had)

I have a lot of new blogging material, unfortuantely midterms have sucked.  I've been taking Calculus, Organic Chemistry, and Nutrition.  Right now I'm seriously pondering what was I thinking.  So expect a brilliant updates soon.  Because I have a lot to catch up on.  Just to name a few posts I've been meaning to write:
-Valentines Day
-BYZoo?
-The day I stripped for 3 strangers....
-And the normal schenanigans I've been up to

For now I give you I leave you "I'd Buy You"

At work we wear a sticker barcode on our hands to sign in to the computer quickly.  Each day you print a new sticker and put it on your hand.  When customers see this, they ask and I usually just laugh and joke that the store will sell me for the right price.  A week a go a customer (think old short grandpa....)(who is typically kinda grouchy) told me, "I know that barcode isn't because they're trying to sell you"  {insert long pause here}. I smile and shrug. Old man this time with dirty twinkle in eye, "But if it was I'd BUY YOU!" Totally made my day.

What I'm listening to:
The Generationals---Pretty much anything
Prince-----Kiss
Laura Marling---Ghosts

What I'm Reading
Organic Chemistry---(DON'T DO IT)
Calculus 5th Edition-----(Trust me skip this one too)
Calculus 5th Edition Solutions Manual----(only slightly more interesting)
The Book of Mormon-----(No Comment =])
His Needs Her Needs-----(Totally suggest this for any relationship or even if you are still dating, best thing I've read to understand men...but we all know I never will)

Words on My Mind

Lawrence pretty much looks worried like this most of the time.  It's his classic face

After making a complete fool of myself  to get him to smile this is about as good as it got.
So Christmas break is over, and I'm trying to cope with it.  I pretty much hate New Years, the whole holiday.  It probably started in Elementary school and when I realized that New Years meant going back to school.  Yes I realize that you have to go back to school and real life, and that life isn't meant to be a holiday all the time but it's still not easy to go back.

These are the highlights from my break
1. Seeing the family
2. Playing the niece and nephew
3. Extreme Gingerbread house making
4. Going to temple square
5. All you can eat hot chocolate, tea, and cinnamon rolls.
6. Christmas Dinner at the Claytons
7. Watching holiday reels of the years past photos
8. Getting school free quality time with Jord
9. Sleeping in on a week day
10. Getting to spend lots of time with my baby sisters.  They're growing up so fast!

Nicole and Clayton came out before Christmas with little Lawrence.  It's always so nice to see them.  This trans-american family thing kinda sucks but since so many of my goals revolve around moving out of state I have get used to this arrangement.  When they left a few days ago my mom and I moaned around the house for a full day.  I'll miss them!

Although I won't miss his continual night screams or puking.

Which reminds me of my least favorite memory from the break.  Lawrence gets continually teased and tossed around as we try and turn him into a circus performer.  One afternoon we had been implementing spinning, rocket blasting, and all sorts of circus tricks on him. And to his defense he was probably a little dizzy.  Well I lifted him up to tease him and he puked right on my neck and all down my shirt.  It was in my hair and smelled well awful.  I was so shocked, all I could think of is yeah, that just happened.

Anyways, this has turned out to be way to random which I don't like.  So I hope everyone has a great semester and that I can survive another semester of not so much fun! Here's looking forward to SPRING BREAK!
The magic balancing baby, just one example of the many circus tricks Lawrence is capable of preforming.
