What I'm Listening To

So I discovered a new band called Ra Ra Riot, and I am really liking their stuff.  Here are a few of my favorites.
Beta Love
Angel, Please
Too Dramatic
I do these posts mostly so when my baby brother returns from Peru I can catch him up on all the great things I'm discovering.
As far as What I'm Watching
Captain Phillips-Super suspenseful, but I think most people would enjoy it

Hate to admit it....

So I hate to admit it, but I've really enjoyed Nashville.  If you havn't watched it, I recommend it.  But then again, my mom thinks they're all soap operas ha.  If you don't have time to watch it (which I really don't) I recommend on listening to the sound track. Here are a few of my favorite singles from the show

Ho Hey
Telescope
Looking for A Place To Shine
Love Like Mine

What I'm Listening to

CalDon and I have always loved sharing/mocking each other's taste in music.  Since, he'll be away from all of that for a while, I'm going to try and keep my my What I'm Listening to, What I'm Reading, and What I'm Watching lists for him.  Check it out if you want!

-Miniature Tigers: Cannibal Queen
-Little Green Cars: The John Wayne
-Fruit Bats: When U Love Somebody
-Passion Pit: Carried Away
-Capital Cities-Safe and Sound
-Grizzly Bear-Two Weeks
-Beck: Que Onda Guero

Reading: not so much
Watching: Just saw Despicable Me 2; my thoughts: okay not as good as the first.

I want to live in this sound

It's Time- Imagine Dragons
On Top of the World- Imagine Dragons
Of Monsters and Men- Little Talks

It's Kinda A Black Keys Season

Ever since El Camino was launched I've been obsessed with it.  Being a poor college student, it took me a little longer than what I would have liked to own the album in its fullest.  Thanks to the Easter bunny's generous visit, I now own the entire CD. With everything that has been going on with school, I'm so glad to have such great music listen to 24/7.
Some of my favorites are
Little Black Submarines
Gold on the Ceiling
Run Right Back

What I'm Listening To

It has been a long time since I've done one of these posts so I figure it's about time!  My new find of the month was Takenobu, and obviously, I'm a little obsessed with Takenobu.  The singing songs aren't as good as the instrumental but I've been liking it all lately.

Tracy Chapman- Paper and Ink
Takenobu-Thursday
Takenobu-Exposition
Penguin Cafe Orchestra- Music for a Found Harmonium
Teddy Geiger-Hallelujah
Brett Dennen-By & By
The Section Quartet- Such Great Heights (I recommend any of their songs, they're legit!)
Break of Reality-Vintage

Maxence Cyri- Where is My Mind

Rosi Golan-Hazy

Have you seen this? Amazing!

I realize these two videos are for the same song, but they are just both so well done I had to post them both.  The bottom video is the official one but both are amazing!

What I'm Listening to

Butterfly Nets-Bishop Allen
Stuck in The Middle With You-Reservoir Dogs
Listen to The Music- Doobie Brothers
Trouble-Ray LaMontagne
Favorite Song-Kaiser Cartel
Blue Eyes-Timmy Curran

Falling in love at the playground

This is such a cute music video by the black keys.  I just love the little boy (the one with out glasses) but somehow I always end up in his position haha its great to have someone to relate to. (Warning: This video contains two middle finger waves...consider yourself warned!)
